AMIC6 Aluminum Cast Plate is a blend of the most desirable features of many individual metals. As a result, cast aluminum plate meets the chalange of product accuracy demanded by industry. Proper machining allows tolerances in the thousandts to be consistantly maintained.

MIC6 Machining Recomendations

Use machines capable of high speeds with a minimum of vibration/backlash.
High speeds & feeds for rough cuts, high speeds with lower feeds for finish cuts.
To prevent MIC6 from sticking to tool surfaces & for heat removal use water soluble oils for most machining routines, cutting oil with additives for horizontal milling, turning & tapping.
